Hi
Howto add AP HP 425 wireless 802.11n (WW) to MSM720 Controller?
MSM720 ist already configured as DHCP server.
Which firmware version do I need on MSM720?
Howto enable AP discovery on MSM720 Controller?

SolutionMSM720 also needs 6.2.0.0 or later.
AP discovery is enabled by default in the Access Network (VLAN 1).
It can be enabled in the Internet network.
By default Ports 1 to 4 are untagged in the Access Network (VLAN 1)
The DHCP server is only available in the Access Network (VLAN 1) or for client data tunnel.
So if you connect one of this port to an untagged port of the VLAN where the APs are placed, the APs should first receive IP addresses from the DHCP server of the controller and then discover the controller on the IP interface of the access network.
By default the controller has the IP 192.168.1.1 in the Access Network (VLAN 1) and the DHCP server of the controller assigns IP addresses in the same subnet. Of course this can be changed.
More in the Configuration Guide.

Re: Howto add HP 425 wireless 802.11n (WW) AP to MSM720 Controller?
Hi,
Thanks for this.
I have 2 new HP 425 AP and were detected and synchronized properly.
I also have 2 other existing HP 425 AP but when these 2 AP's were reset to factory default, MSM720 controller won't detect them anymore. Strange is that these 2 AP's have IP addresses assigned to them and reachable within the network but still controller won't detect them.
Appreciate if you could help me.
Thanks,
Jun
