We have just had an engineer in to replace a failed disk. He was logged in via the GSP, but unfortunately his session froze while he was running an ioscan. We can't for the life of us find the session/process to kill to release the gsp. We have greped for the usual stuff with ps -ef but no joy.
We think its at unix level as we can use the gsp to get onto other partitions fine.
Does anyone have any ideas?
I would really like to avoid rebooting the box!
Many thanks
Phil

Re: Frozen GSP session
To reset the terminal, do the following:
turn of the terminal
hold down the d-key while powering up the terminal.
after a count of 10, release the d-key
You should get:
Default configs used, press return to clear.
Hitting return or enter should clear the screen and you should be able to work.

Re: Frozen GSP session
Robert-Jan when we try that command we get an operation is not permitted message, although we are root. We cannot run a +queryGSP either.
Kent, unfortunately we are not on the same site, we are using the gsp remotely, we think its more of an OS problem though.

I don't know if you have the A or the B version of the GSP, check the latest gsp patches.
