install hp-ux 11iv2 using network
I need to install hp-ux 11i v2 through lan boot. I don't have external DVD so I plan to mount the DVD to some other server and through LAN. it is possible

I've never heard of using a remote DVD, just ignite and a filesystem.

The lanboot capability requires another HP-UX system setup with Ignite/UX and the Install DVD copied to the Ignite server as a Golden Image. If the hardware you have is a blade, you may be thinking of virtual media that uses the blade chassis and an external web interface.

You can copy the install media using the ignite interface to the install source server or use a golden image. Not only blades have virtual media, other servers have this feature too, deoending on the model you have.
