after the reboot the server switched to the the graphic monitor, but it remains blank.

Have you install the CDE environment?
check with:

# swlist

the CDE is installed.

check the /etc/rc.config.d/desktop file :
it must be:
DESKTOP=CDE

If you want to run X on this screen at startup, you may have to configure /etc/X11/XF86config.
