Memorex DVD Double Layer 16x

I installed a Memorex DVD (master) to my Compaq S4020WM I am unable to get sound using the headphones when connected to the DVD I can only get sound when connected to the rear computer speaker ports.I am unable to find the analog connection to the motherboard. The original CDRW did not have a audio cable attached.I also have a ATI All in One 9600 video card connected to the line-in audio.How do I install this unit to get sound through the headphones directly for the DVD Drive

According to Memorex, if you're running Windows XP, you need to turn off digital CD audio in media player. See this link for details:
