DL360 Gen10 SR100i SW Raid SATA SSD drives in other devices

I have pretty much the same issue as this post https://community.hpe.com/t5/proliant-servers-ml-dl-sl/cannot-add-ssds-to-raid/td-p/7189492

One of the links is bad in the response. 

Brand new Proliant DL360 Gen10 using HP P40497-B21 (480GB SATA SSD) drives. All the drives are listed under other devises and not available in unassigned drives. Somewhere I am missing what is needed to make the drives available to the Raid controller.
