ProLiant DL 580 G2 with Product Name empty in Insight Manager 7.2
Hi,
i have the following problem:
an HP ProLiant DL 580 G2 is not recognized in Insight Manager 7.2.
The Insight Manager shows name, recognizes the Serial Number ( in its SQL-tables) but he didn├В┬┤t recognize the SystemModel.
We have checked the SNMP Settings, the Service Packs an the Agent-Version.
They├В┬┤re all okay.
The Survey Utility works fine too.
The Server replies the ping....
HP ProLiant DL 580 G2
OS: Windows NT 4 SP 6a
any Idea?
Thanks in adv

Are you sure the SNMP settings in the HP Management Agents (Control Panel) are set up correctly? Plus the SNMP Service? if you are 100% sure then re-install the latest agents, but my experience tells me that you have something wrong in your SNMP config.

Re: ProLiant DL 580 G2 with Product Name empty in Insight Manager 7.2
Hi Sebastian
I have the same problem with one of our servers here.
These are the possible causes of this problem
1. You might not have a management processor such as Remote Insigh lights-out
2.The Insight Management agent are not Installed on the target system.
3.The SNMP service on the target system is not installed or has stopped.
4.the SNMP Community string used to talk and collect data from the target system is incorrect.
5.The Remote Management driver is not installed on the target system.
I hope this help.
Regards,
Bode
