Karl Karlov, Manager Analytics, Automation and AI, shares his approach to solve real-life customer challenges and how HPE’s culture motivates him to deliver his best.   

Karl’s HPE career journey 

Karl Karlov, Manager Analytics, Automation and AI, leads the team in Bulgaria responsible for the reporting portfolio, supporting process automations and the occasional AI model for the Global Logistic Organization.  

Over the last 15 years, Karl has moved through a variety of roles; working on everything from transformation programs to analytics to now diving into AI. His can-do attitude and strong work ethic have given Karl many opportunities to learn different parts of the company and to ultimately lead his current team.

Q: How would you describe the culture at HPE?  
A: HPE is a great place to work, a place where your opinion is respected, your team is your second family. The sense of purpose and accomplishment is what brings us together. I honestly believe working at HPE and its culture has made me a better person.  

Q: How do you redefine what's next for your career?  
A: I have always tried to give my best in the job that I am doing; there is no job too small or too menial. Give your best whatever you do and sooner or later, a new opportunity will appear. I honestly believe that this is the best preparation and the way I managed to get my “dream job” that I have today.     

Q: What motivates you to do your best work at HPE?  
A: What we do is a team sport, you do your part and help if any of your teammates need support. And it helps that what we deliver has a real-life impact. A customer is satisfied, someone’s job gets easier because of an automation, an AI model saves money and efforts – it’s these things that make a real-life change that excite me and motivate me to do my best.
