The Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Community is a peer-to-peer channel to help people find answers, solve problems, and get the most out of their HPE products and services.
By participating in the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Community Site ("Site") you are agreeing to these Rules of Participation, the HPE Terms of Use, the HPE Online Privacy Statement, any other terms included by HPE on the Site. If you don't accept these Rules of Participation, the HPE.com Terms of Use, the HPE Online Privacy Statement, and any of the other terms, you are not allowed to use this Site.
These Rules of Participation supplement the HPE.com Terms of Use, the HPE Online Privacy Statement, and any other terms included by HPE on the Site. If there is a conflict between the HPE.com Terms of Use and these Rules of Participation, the HPE.com Terms of Use take precedence.
These rules are your guide to getting along in the HPE Community. HPE Community moderators will enforce the Rules of Participation and the HPE.com Terms of Use at their discretion. HPE may, at its discretion, modify the Rules of Participation, remove noncompliant content, and suspend the accounts of any members who violate the rules or the HPE Terms of Use.

Rules
To ensure a safe and productive forum, we ask that you observe these forum rules:
- Be respectful. Respect your fellow users by keeping your tone positive and your comments constructive. Good or bad, your experiences are always welcome if offered in a courteous way. Respect people's time and attention by providing complete information about your question or problem, including product name and model number. People like helping those who ask good questions.
- Be relevant. Make sure your contributions are relevant to this forum and to the specific category or board where you post. Before starting a new topic, we recommend that you use the site?s search facility to check if a similar topic already exists or if the question that you are about to ask has previously been asked and answered.If you have a new question, start a new thread rather than interrupting a conversation.
- Solicitations inviting members to join, participate in, or buy something, are never relevant.
- Advertising. This community is not to be used for trading/swapping or selling/advertising of your products or services or for the promotion of your website or social media channels.
- Press releases. Please do not post press releases unless the intention is to inform or contextualize a new or existing discussion; and the press release is only part of your post. A press release posted to do nothing more than promote a product or service will be removed.
- Obey the law and keep your word. Don't post anything that would violate any law, or any contractual agreement that you have made.
- Protect privacy - yours and others'.
- Don't share anything about yourself that you would not want to see on a road-side billboard.
- Don't post contact or other personal information - your own or anyone else's - or any content that you receive in one-to-one communications without the author's consent.For example, don?t post your product?s serial # or contact information publicly.
- No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms etc., or to bypass any safety measures.
- Remember this is user-generated content. You'll find plenty of good advice here, but remember that your situation, configuration, or use may vary from that of the individual sharing a solution. Some advice you find here may even be wrong. Apply the same good judgment here that you would apply to information anywhere on the Internet.
- Think before you post. You may not use, or allow others to use, your registration membership to post or transmit:
- "Rants", "slams", or legal threats against HPE, another company or any person.
- Political statements or commentary.
- Inappropriate or offensive content. This includes posting messages with profanity; or messages which are religiously, racially, or sexually offensive.
- Flaming. Flaming is the act of posting messages that are deliberately hostile and insulting. These types of posts are absolutely not allowed and will result in the immediate removal of the offending post.
- Off-topic comments not related to a technical or usage issue regarding an HPE product.
- Language that promotes illegal activity or discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them.
- Duplicate posts. Please ensure your posts are original and do not plagiarize other posts. Repeated posting of a message (or very similar messages) multiple times is considered spamming and will be deleted from this site.
- Hyperlinks that lead to sites that violate any of the forum guidelines.
- Any message that solicits or promotes the use of an illegal substance.
- Infringing Content: You must respect copyrights, trademarks, and rights of publicity, as well as all other intellectual property rights and image usage rights. As a general matter, do not post any third-party material or the names or pictures of any people, unless you have permission, or you are sure you have the right to do so without permission. Just because someone has posted or shared something online does not mean that it is free to use without first obtaining the necessary licenses/approvals
- If you are an HPE employee, you must identify yourself as one. You must always be clear that you speak for yourself only and not for HPE and follow all HPE policies, including HPE?s Standards of Business Conduct and the Global Social Media, Blogging and Podcast Policy.
- If you have been sponsored by HPE in the past, you may need to disclose your past sponsorship affiliation with HPE. When in doubt, please contact us at community@hpe.com for approval prior to posting content.
- A core element of HPE’s belief in being a force for good is being unconditionally inclusive, and language plays a big part. We must be considerate of all people in our writing, making sure the language is free of discrimination, unconscious bias, and stereotypes, and we ask that you do the same in your posts.
In general:
- Avoid making assumptions. Be careful not to assume anyone’s race, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, marital or family relationships, etc.
- Avoid slang and idioms. Some commonly used phrases can be offensive. Unless you’re 100% sure that a phrase is inclusive, do a search on its origin before using it.
- Avoid non-inclusive terms, such as master-slave, blacklist/whitelist, abort, kill, black market etc.
- Do no Harm: You may not interfere in any way with the operations in the forum or with a fellow user's message box, including, but not limited to, mail or "post" bombing, news bombing, other flooding techniques, deliberate attempts to overload a system and broadcast attacks, or attempts to avoid messaging blocking.
- Cooperate with site Moderators and Administrators. You may not evade bans or suspensions or otherwise disregard directions from Hewlett Packard Enterprise Community moderators or administrators.
- Please participate in English, so that your fellow community members will have an opportunity to take part in your discussion and provide you with assistance.

Forum Moderators and Administrators
You will see some community members have a moderator or administrator logo next to their names. Their primary purpose is to help keep the forum running smoothly and report any issues with the site.
On occasion they will answer questions, particularly those regarding how to use and navigate the site. They will assist you where they can, but remember that they are not HPE technical experts. The Hewlett Packard Enterprise Community is a peer-to-peer channel where the answers come from your peers, not from HPE.
