HPE Primera Enclosure Firmware

Hi dear 

When I update HPE Primera firmware from old version to latest (for example 4.0 to 4.5.15) with one HPE Primera 600 2U 24-disk SFF Drive Enclosure, All Controllers and devices updated but Enclosure did not update. I cannot find any files specially for Enclosure in HPE support site. Are there any special file for Enclosures? Or exist file with Primera OS, but Enclosure is updated and there is not any update file for my environment?

Hi,

there is no separate Update File, it is all included.
If Cage the Firmware is not Updated, usually there is no need for an Update.

Do you have a message, that says, that the Enlosure needs a Update?

What makes you think the enclosure is not updated? Is there any error/alert/message?

You can see the current enclosure versions using the 'showcage' command. And compare the same with 'showversion -a' output (which lists all the component versions included with the installed OS version. If both matching, no need to worry.

There is not any error. Just show different version Enclosure show me 4.0 but os is 4.5.15

That's OK because the Enclosure only has an I/O Modul, which is different from the OS Version, but it may be confusing.

Are you seeing '4.0' in showcage output? Or is it '4.00' ?

Check the model of the enclosure (showcage) and compare the version available for the same using 'showvesion -a' output to reconfirm.

There's a Verification page in the release notes that can be used to ensure that the right component versions have all been installed. Run the showversion -b -a CLI command and compare it with this:
