HPE DL380 Gen9 ESXI support

Hi

Does anyone know if Simplivity Gen9 have ESXI limitation on Installed version

I would like to install latest esxi7.0 version (7.0U3).

Simplivity version would be 4.1.0u1

Hi giladzzz

SimpliVity Gen9 supports ESXi 7.0u3c as the current Simplivity version of your system is 4.1.0u1.
however, the only limitation is to install ESXi 7.0u3c using CLI and not through the upgrade manager.

thanks for the answers but in the latest interoperability 4.1.1u1

in the remark 3 at the biging  version from 01.08.2021 its says 

"Support DL380 Gen9 with ESXi 7.0 U1 & VCSA 7.0 U2b"

can you explain.

Hi Giladzzz!

The comment you are referring to is on the title page.  Row 3 in this table was added when the 4.1.0U1 Interop was released on Aug 1, 2021.   The 4.1.0U1 release added ESXi 7.0 support to the Gen9.   The prior release did not support ESXi 7.0 for Gen9.  

You can update to ESXi 7.0 U3c or U3d per the latest Interop (June 22, 2022) on Gen9.    Please note that ESXi upgrade on HPE SimpliVity 380 Gen9 is to be carried out using ESXi command line because it cannot be performed via Upgrade Manager.
