"enter any key within 10 sec " is not appeared

Hi All,

I am create a new two virtual partition and I am executing this two commands for both server
vparmodify -p RUXDEVDB -B auto
vparmodify -p RUXDEVDB -B search
vparmodify -p RUXDEVAPP -B auto
vparmodify -p RUXDEVAPP -B search
but after that I can’t see this message appeared "enter any key within 10 sec " to interrupt and go
to ISL or BCH, and after reboot the both server are automatic booting.
how I can solve this problem to back this message "enter any key within 10 sec " again.

If you start a vPar from another this is totally normal, you cannot interact with the firmware (valid for both families - PA-Risc and Integrity).

You need to give the boot options in the command line when booting the vpar(vparboot from hp-ux, vparload from mon>), for example:

Boot the virtual partition Bergen specifying an alternate kernel:

vparboot -p Bergen -b /stand/vmunix_debug

Boot in single user:

vparboot -p Bergen -o "-is"

man vparboot has all the options.
