DL380 Gen10 how to add a box

I have a DL380 Gen10, and I need to add a box.

I have been supplied with the following parts

826691-B21 Box 1/2 cage bkpln kit

870549-B21 SAS expander card

I can see the SAS expander card comes with two cables, i expect to connect to the. smart array P408i.

I expect the new box will need to be connected to the expander card with 2 cables it comes with.

What about the existing box? does that connect to the expander card too, or does it stay where it is? Note: The existing box has live systems on it.

do i need to install any drivers?

I have not seen any instructions for this expander anywhere, just specifications.

Hello,

The Kit contents:
HPE 12G SAS Expander card and all the cables required for the specified server will be included in the kit.

So you insert the Expander Card.
Follow this Guide:

SAS Expander itself can support up to 28 drives, it has 9 miniSAS x4 ports - two to connect the expander with a Smart Array controller and seven to connect cages.

The Expander needs no Driver but please Update the Firmware.
