Clear VGRA information

Hi All,

I have migrated my HPUX filesystem to a new disk. So right now I plan to clearing the old VGRA information.

My question is, how can I clearing this old VGRA info on the old hard disk?

Assuming the disk is no longer in a volume group, then the pvremove command will remove the VGRA structure from the disk.

Hi:

As Duncan said, 'pvremove' is designed to clear the VGRA information from a physical disk.  If you are running a release that does not have that command, you can do:

# dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rdsk/cXtYdZ bs=1024k count=10
