Lost data with newfs in hp-ux

I'd ran for mistake the command newfs over a logical volume with valuable data.

There is some command or any trick for get my data back, in hp-ux 11.31, with vxfs ?

OOPS! :( I've done that before!

Yes, it's called restore from a backup.

There is no other way that I know of, unless you want to spend THOUSANDS of dollars with a data recover service, even then there is no guarantee.

Sometimes you cant reverse the things easily!!!!

If you dont have backup then it's hard time for you. And its a lesson that backup is the first thing comes into system administration.

What exactly you did? Are you sure the data on disk is intact? Even then, I don;t think there is easy and direct way to retrieve it.

The only thing is you have to restore it from Backup
