Recovering a system from CD

I have a 11.11 System, A-class that cannot boot either from primary or mirror.

How do I recover it off the CD?

Is there a detailed help page on this.

Re: Recovering a system from CD

First, find the reason for the non-boot status. Failed hardware?
The recover process can restore the files needed for boot (boot area/kernel) - but in most cases there are different solutions - it depends on the situation.

What error do you get? Maybe it helps to boot the previous kernel? ...

Hope this helps!

Re: Recovering a system from CD

Most excellent, thank you.

It appears this box is beyond recovery, as both disks died. I imagine one died earlier and hasn't been noticed and now the 2nd one failed.
