The server markings:
PID: 360519-B21
HP ProLiant DL145
BIOS upgraded to the latest I could find:
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/23325.htmlThe problem:
When both H0 and H1 cpu sockets are populated, the 2 PPM
sockets populated as well, with 2x512MB CL2.5 ECC REG in
H0_DIMM0/1 and same make and model another 2x512MB CL2.5
ECC REG in H1_DIMM0/1 BIOS incorrectly shows "CPU Count: 1".
The 2 LEDs H0_PRESENT and H1_PRESENT are both correctly lit
green. Linux incorrectly finds 1 CPU, although the same
bootable CD finds 2 on my Athlon X2 desktop machine(to
confirm the kernel is dual cpu capable).
Both sets of CPU/PPM/memory tested in single CPU mode (H0
cpu socket populated, PPM0 populated, H0_DIMM0/1 populated)
BIOS correctly shows "CPU Count: 1". The H0_PRESENT LED is
lit green, H1_PRESENT LED is correctly off. Linux correctly
finds 1 CPU.

I cant find a reason why the BIOS wouldnt accept and use the
second CPU. Any help will be greatly appreciated !
