DL585 G2, Smart Array 642 , Windows 2012

Hi all,

Just installed a Proliant DL585 G2 with Server 2012 but having problems installing the Smart Array 642. Tried the Windows 2008 driver but I'm getting 'Error Code 10' which indicates to be the driver. Does have any experience with this situation or any idea how I may go about to solve this situation.

Error Code 10 is an issue related to driver,

If you have Windows 2012 on your server you need to install this drivers :

I am looking for the Smart Array 642 driver for Windows 2012. The one represented on the link is for the SAS/Sata which does not resolve the problem.

Thank you for your speedy reply. I have came across this site its just that is does not contain the driver but yes it has the SSA and the ACU.

we must also know that the updates and drivers are granted for servers under warranty or maintenance contract.

the best way to get the server up to date is to have the DVD ISO SPP:

HP Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) Version 2014.02.0

Just to say removing the driver for the Smart Array 642 then running the SPP and once the server rebooted reinstalled the driver for Windows 2008 x64 (cp010823.exe) did the trick.

simply remove the driver already installed, following it to the server with the SPP and everything should work perfectly.
