Nimble Storage cinder backend with Openstack

I have a Nimble array being used with nimble.py cinder driver and Openstack pike.

1. can anyone provide any information at all surrounding Nimble/HPE dropping the nimble driver?
2. Does anyone use this driver in their org. ?
3. Does anyone use Openstack with a Nimble array without the driver? - if so, how are you going about it?
4. can anyone provide any information about the API changes between NOS v4.x to v5.x ? I checked the documentation and couldnt find a delta
