Extend existing IRF Stack with Third Switch.
Dear,
We have a IRF stack with 2x A5500 (JG240A)
The Master has the highest priority (32) and the slave has default value of 1.
We want to extend this IRF stack with a third switch.
What is the best practice to add this switch, if possible with no down-time.
Set a unit number 3 on switch 3.
Config the IRF ports on switch 3, set active ?
Leave default priority.
And then plugin the stack cable from switch 2-poort1 to switch3-poort2?
What would you recommend ?
Thanks in advanced.
With kind regards,
Mitchel Post

Re: Extend existing IRF Stack with Third Switch.
A tech note I wrote a few years is attached. Check Section 3.3.
