Recommended procedure for Virtual Connect backup and restore using batch
Danny had a Virtual Connect domain backup question:
****************************
Hi,
We have a customer looking for recommended procedure for backup and restore of VC settings using batch.
I looked at both
a.) VCM Command line guide and
b.) VCSU guide.
I did not find in the VCM command line guide any reference to backup and restore VC settings.
The VCSU guide note that this tool support backup of VC settings using the “vcsu – a configbackup…” option, but I did not find a procedure to restore.
Can someone please assist me with that task ?

Hi Danny,
There is no way to restore a VC domain with a command-line utility. You've already found everything that is to be found.
Regards,

Any other comments or suggestions for Danny?

Re: Recommended procedure for Virtual Connect backup and restore using batch
See the Virtual Connect Support User Guide
Configbackup
Using the supplied credentials, log into VC Manager and access Virtual Connect to request a configuration download. VCSU saves that backup in the current directory as the file name supplied by Virtual Connect.
Syntax:
vcsu -a configbackup -i -u -p -vcu -vcp [-cp ] –l
and
The backup and restore can also be done through the Virtual Connect GUI.
