Wake on LAN - Dot1x
Hi there,
Is there a way to get "Wake on LAN" (WOL) working in a Dot1x environment? The problem is that when the client workstation is switched off, the port goes in an unauthenticated state and the magic packet does not reach the client. WOL works if the port is in an open state.
We're using 3Com switches (5500-EI Software Version 3Com OS V3.03.02s168ep10). Cisco switches seem to have a function to allow inbound packets when the port is in an unauthenticated state. Can 3Com switches do this or is there another way?
Thanks,
Jason
