CentOS 6.3 error on DL360 Gen8 Server
We are seeing the following error message on boot up using a new HP DL 360 with Ivy Bridge processor. The server is loaded with CentOS 6.3 with a 2.6.32-279.el6.x86_64 kernel.
kernel: Detected CPU family 6 model 62
UNSUPPORTED HARDWARE DEVICE: CPU family 6 model > 59
What does this error actually mean and how can it be resolved?
Understanding that the latest version is CentOS 6.4 and 6.5 is coming soon. Right now upgrading past 6.3 is not an option. What does this message really mean? Just the processor is unknown? Everything seems to be working correctly to include the expected performance.

It sure looks like it.
