Message error

I have oracle running on red hat 7.1, somtimes the systems freeze and /var/log/messages register the follow message after reboot, " kernel: _alloc_pages:0-order allocation failed, Any idea?

Hi

This error message is related to Virtual Memory error on early 2.4 kernel.
As you mentioned that you are using RH7.1,
the original kernel version of RH7.1 is 2.4.2.

This kind of memory trouble was fixed on 2.4.10 kernel or later. So I recommend you to try 2.4.18 (latest stable kernel) on RH7.1.
