Compatible with current FC hard disks?

We have an EVA 6000 SAN Storage with 48 300 GB FC disks with model number BD30058232. The disks have Firmware version HP04. Al the disks are in the same Disk Group.

Whe have 16 new disks with model number BD300DAJZF. The disks are at this moment in the Ungrouped Disks. The disks have firmware HP00.

Can I add these disks to the same Disk group as the 48 another disks with firmware HP04 without upgrading the new harddisks firmware? Can i do this without expecting troubles?

Re: Compatible with current FC hard disks?

Hi,
You should check the release notes for the version of code you are running to check for that information.
Why not just code load the new disks to the latest version before you put them in the disk group ???
You can also code load the existing grouped disk drives (if required) online as long as there are no Vraid 0 disk drives in the disk group. Supported by HP, just do it during a "quite" period.
