OSPF error message : RECV: Discarding packet on interface Unknown : No such multicast interface

Hi all,

We've implement an OSPF Lan in our environment, we have 6 core switches(5400) and they do ospf routing.

These 6 switches are acting ABR.

For example, our core has its zone 10.1.1.0, Core2's zone is 10.2.1.0 and core3 use 10.3.1.0 and so on.

The problem is that we've got a lot of error messages after ospf enabled.

The error message shows: RECV: Discarding packet on interface Unknown :  No such multicast interface.

I tried to google and just found some document about Unknown interface which is virtual link.

So, that is not our situation.

Any help will be appreciated.

Did you ever get an answer to this?  I have the same error

Typically, a copy of the show run is helpfull.  Also, a topology map if avail.  Personally, I am very visual.
