Oracle Installation

Is there any way of finding out if the installation of Oracle 7.3.4 on our HP UX 10.2
was installed with a Server Based or Client Server based configuration . Many Thanks

Re: Oracle Installation

Kapil ;) Oracle is not installed with swinstall.

The easiest way I see is to look at the existence of oracle executable in $ORACLE_HOME/bin
If you have oracle, then it's server. If you don't you've got client.

Fred

Re: Oracle Installation

The only thing i can think of is this:

install the oracle on an ignite image server.

make a golden image.

Replicate that image to other servers.

I have done that three times with oracle and ias.

It works, though some post configuration work is required after the image,
