Auxiliary Optimizers?

I have a client that is going through a People Soft upgrade. They are installing on HP-UX 11.23 on PA-RISC. another 3rd party is performing the installation, and they just told the client that the software nstallation fails because it needs "Auxiliary Optimizers" installed on the system.
He went on to say that this is a no cost optinal software on HP-UX, but it does not appear on the Applications DVD.
Does anyone know anything about this and where to find it?

Thanks.

Re: Auxiliary Optimizers?

Joe,

If I'm not mistaken the Auxiliary Optimizer is part of the HP C Developer's Bundle.

Something terribly wrong here.  People Soft should NOT be shipping ISOM/IELF object files or archives to their customers.

These type of object files are not guaranteed compatible and the end user may not have purchased the compiler.

To take advantage of +O4 or PBO, you must do the link before you ship your load modules.

Note: On Integrity servers, the linker incorrectly produces this error if you have PA objects.

That's right, you have to purchase it.
