MSA 2012 FC - Dual Controller Schedule Volume Copy Issues

MSA 2012 FC - Dual Controller Schedule Volume Copy Issues

Hi;

I am wondering if someone would be able to give me a hand with an issue I am having.

For the last couple of days I have been working at configuring a Volume Copy Schedule at one of the sites I am helping implement. We are however having some issues with the Volume Copy, but more specfically the schedulers on the MSA 2012FC.

Just to get everyone up to speed. I will post info as to the Firmware Revision we are currently using, as I find this may help with the trouble shooting.

Controller A
HW Revision 56-27

Controller B
HW Revision 55-27

Current Storage Controller Code Version J200P24
Current Storage Controller Loader Code Version 15.010
Current Memory Controller Code Version F300R22
Current Management Controller Code Version W420R45
Current Management Controller Loader Code Version 12.013
Current Enclosure Controller Code Version 3019
Current CPLD Version 27

Now from my understanding these firmware levels are the latest available from HP.

Next off to give you a bit of History. This unit is less than a month old. We have had issues with both the midplane (Which has been replaced) and the Primary Controller (Also which has been replaced) For some reason about every 3.25 hours to 5 hours The primary controller would automatically failover and we would have a large amount of unwrittable cache memory, that would require a manual flush daily of the cache. Since the replacements this has not been a issue.

Our Current VDisk configuration is 16X300 GB in Raid 10 (Our Production Surface) and a 8X300GB in Raid 0 (Backup / Recovery Surface) these vdisk are of Identical size. We orignally planned on having a scheduled job doing a volume copy between to the two Vdisks.

Issue -

Currently we are having issues with the Schedulers ability to create the Volume Copy Job. When we create the job it does not run as intended. The task just continiously Mounts and unmounts the selected Master Volume.
Additionallt the schedule does not create the Volume on our secondary Vdisk
