ML 30 Gen 10 Server OS install failures
Hello,
I have a server that I successfully installed hyper-v server on (not windows server with hyper v straight up hyper v). But I need to actually install server 2019 on it now. I decided to remove and redo the logical volumes and raid.
First, I bought a 1tb SSD for a system drive and set that up as it's own array with a single logical drive. Downloaded 2019 server standard ISO and copied it to a USB drive, the install seemed to start fine but upon rebooting I get a
"Windows cannot find the Microsoft Software License Terms. Make sure the installation sources are valid and restart the installation" box appear.
I have tried a new download, new USB storage device, resetting the bios to defaults, using Rufus to create a bootable device, and still not getting anywhere.
Any Ideas?

Re: ML 30 Gen 10 Server OS install failures
Hi,
It seems like the installation source is missing some drivers required at the time of install, did you try with HPE DVD provided with the server. Also you may want to use intelligent provisioning method to install the OS as it will take care of all the required drivers for the installation.

Re: ML 30 Gen 10 Server OS install failures
I get this error when using the Intelligent provisioning. or express os install. nothing installs. I also don't recall getting a DVD with my server.
What's really frustrating. I checked my support options and the install support that came with my server is now expired. I didn't get a chance to set this up until now due to having to work from home for so long. These forums are all I got now.
Is there a different download for server 2019 or 1026 I am supposed to be using? is there a way to install without the intelligent stuff?

Re: ML 30 Gen 10 Server OS install failures
Hi wavauiwi ,
I can understand your situation.
Which version of intelliegent provisioning have you tried ?
Have you tried with vanilla ISO from Microsoft evaluation center does it throw the same error?
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/evalcenter/evaluate-windows-server-2019
If you are trying to create a bootable USB try using MS tool to make a bootable USB from the ISO
