Netqork
I have two machines (XP and VISTA) both connected to the internet through a
wireless router without a problem but cannot get them to see each other so I
can share files.
However I happened to both the VISTA up in SAFE mode and could then see the
files on the other machine without a problem, any clues?
I am running Norton on the VISTA and have tried searching with both it and
the MS firewall off without any success.

Re: Netqork
You will probably find the problem is with your firewall. Try disabling Norton Firewall to see if this cures your problem If it does then you will have to configure Norton Firewall to allow communication to & from Vista machine. Also make sure your sharing access rights are set up for files folders and drives that you wish to share.

Re: Netqork
Also when trying to share files and folder use the UNC naming convention.
