Hi There,
I have two OPENVMS 8.3-1H1 systems. Decnet is running between them both and I can set host and login fine using username and password from one to the other.
However when I try and copy files across it gives me 'ACP FILE CREATE FAILED' , Login information invalid at remote node'
Even though I can set host and login using the same user and password.
Any ideas ?
Thanks a mill

Re: Decnet Help with copy error please
Hi,
which syntax do you use to copy the file ? Please give an example including the error message. Make sure to replace the password with '...' in the example shown.
The correct syntax would be: $ copy filename node"user password"::
Volker.

SolutionHi,
the syntax looks o.k. - did it ever work ?
Maybe the account FITZGERALDDM on node IBID91 is not authorized for NETWORK logins ? Contact the system manager of the remote node and have him check that account. Enable network logins with UAF> MOD FITZGERALDDM/NETWORK
Volker.
