Gentle folk,
Does anyone have an Exceed .kbf file they can share which emulates DEC LK4xx editing keys on a standard 105key PC keyboard?
I'm particularly interested in the Help, Do and F17-F20 keys.
My attempts to use Xkeys to create one have been failing: the modified keys just generate beeps, although xmodmap shows the keys to have the definitions that I think I want.
We're using Exceed 2008 SP10 to connect to Alphas running VMS 8.3 update 8 with DECwindows 1.6 ECO 5 and Multinet v5.2.
Thanks for whatever help you can provide.

Solution
Check with the vendor...
Here are some previous discussions...

And there are xkeycaps definition files around for _everything_.
http://www.jwz.org/xkeycaps/
Or rework the OpenVMS SMG terminal definition database (for SMG-compliant applications) to match your local requirements.
And now is as good as any time to start switching away from keypad stuff; those keypads look to be going the way of the floppy drive...

Re: Exceed keymap to simulate LK4xxx DO key, etc?
Thanks for the pointers to the posts documenting the Exceed keyboard emulation map! That was what I couldn't find.
Unfortunately, switching to another style of editing is not an option: it'd disrupt the "work flow" of too many senior staff members on a project that's only going to last a few more years. By then everything will have finished migrating to Linux and the people will have retired, making it all moot.

The documentation solved my problem.
