Help with Syncing drives between two OpenVMS Systems

Trying to figure out the best way to get files transferred from one OpenVMS system (system a) to another OpenVMS system (system b). One of the ideas is to backup the drive into a  large OpenVMS Backup saveset (77,000,000 blocks) and scp that saveset over, or if there was something else (like rsync) for syncing the two systems.

The "best" way involves 2 identical mirrored drives on each system.

As per Steven

- how close are they (room, building, country)

- what do the systems  have in common? (scsi bus? fibrechannel network? CI? (gigabit) network?, take, hot-swap drives)

- can you shut down application activity for a proper backup?

-  how often? Once, daily? Constant?

- What defines 'best' for you? speed? accuracy? time-of-day? Repeatable?

In order of preferrence for me

- Storage Snapclone / backup

- OpenVMS Host-based shadowing

- Sneakerdisk
