Health status not showing storage

I've installed HP ESXI 5.1u1 on a dl380 g5, when first started the health status shows all the correct sensors including storage.  After a couple hours the storage is missing from the health status.

I've found a couple KB artlicles that mention restarting the sfcbd-wathdog service.  This works, but like restarting the server the storage status only lasts a couple hours.

This is a going to be a stand-alone free esxi box with no vcenter so I'm counting on this to be able to check array health status.
