HP ProLiant MicroServer G8 and Windows Server 2003

Hi,

I would like to know more informations about the HP ProLiant MicroServer G8 and the (in)compability with Windows 2003 server;

After checking the HP website multiple times, i'm aware that there's some support to the windows 2003 server, so my questions is, after some tweak i could run my server with windows 2003 server, or i just could run with after the giving errors on the first install on the windows;

Is there any first step to start windows the windows server or i can run the cd and install it?!

Best Regards,

Re: HP ProLiant MicroServer G8 and Windows Server 2003

Hi,

Windows 2003 is not certified/officially tested on MicroServer Gen8.

In case you need to install, you may proceed at your own risk, but drivers may not be available and you may encounter BSOD or reduced functionality of the MicroServer.

To install, just boot from the Windows 2003 server OS CD, no separate procedure required.

Thank You!
I am a HP employee.
