CIM7 and SMTP authentication
Hello,
We recently upgraded our GroupWise system 6.5 and now have message relaying turned off. In the past, we were able to recieve messages from CIM7 because it bounced them off our e-mail server. Now, with relaying turned off, any smtp connections need to be authenticated.
Is there a way to set this up in CIM7?
Thanks.
Jaosn

Re: CIM7 and SMTP authentication
IM7 expects a dumb ol' SMTP server. The best way to work around this is to set up an dumb SMTP hosts locally on the IM7 servers and direct IM7 to use that as its mailer. The SMTP server can then authenticate to your GroupWise server. The SMTP server that's part of IIS should work just fine, even if you're on WinXP.
