Greetings,
I want to set up remote installation capability for HP servers. I use the remote media capability in the iLOM Integrated Remote Console and mount a Smartstart ISO image. When I boot the machine the remote mount image is not visible to the server - only the physical DVD drive - is this expected behavior or am I doing something wrong.
Thanks in advance.

hi carteran,
You're doing something wrong. :)
Do you have a physical disc in the server? If so, change the boot order. Are you using the Java applet for Virtual Media alongside the Integrated Remote Console? If so, try using either the Virtual Media button in the IRC window OR using the Java applet for VM with the Remote Console. Is your iLO firmware up to date?

Still nothing? Try another ISO. There could be something wrong with that one.
good luck, if you appreciate the answers we appreciate the points!
