Incorrect IP address on ESX guest with multiple Virtual NICS
Hello
I am using HP SIM to detect virtual machines running on ESXi. I set SIM to discover the host and it has correctly picked up all the running guests.
The problem I have is that some of the guests have multiple NICS. One public NIC on a public IP address that can be reached from the CMS and the other a private LAN between certain guests on a private IP address than cannot be reached from the CMS. When SIM detects the guest it is picking up the private LAN address rather than the public one and is therefore reporting the system as unreachable.
How can I configure which NIC on the guest SIM tries to ping so that I can configure it to ping the public rather than the private IP address.
Thanks
