SolutionThats because they almost never release new firmware for web consoles.
GSP/MP is better if available, otherwise keep watching but don't expect to have to do anything about web console firmware.

Re: Webconsole Firmware
Many HP systems have a card marked LAN Console or GSP Console or MP console. It depends on the model.
rp3440 for example have a GSP, though the name may be different.
It looks like a lan port in the back.
Here is a doc on configuring the thing.
http://docs.hp.com/en/5991-2814/5991-2814.pdf
This varies a lot model to model, so give me a model number and I'll find you a better doc.

Re: Webconsole Firmware
On the other reply I followed that link but the FTP site has a message left on it saying it has been hacked so I don't really want to update from it.

Re: Webconsole Firmware
The "revision A" GSP does not have the capability for encrypted access: the Telnet protocol is the only thing it can handle. The external "Secure Web Console" box was bundled with L-class servers to create a "Web enabled" console.
The "revision B" GSP has the web console functions built in, but it can also function as Telnet-based remote console if desired. Either of these functions can be disabled if necessary.
See the rp54xx User Guide for more information about the GSP:

Re: Webconsole Firmware
please start your own thread when you have a question; don't append your question to the end of an old, already solved thread, even if it isn't explicitly closed. The ability to close old threads is a fairly recent development on ITRC Forums, so many old threads are not closed explicitly.
The "Start New Thread" button is at the top of the message listing on each message category page.
For your question, see the rp34x0 series Operations Guide on docs.hp.com. Direct link:
http://docs.hp.com/en/A7137-96003/A7137-96003.pdf
Go to page 31 for instructions on how to configure the newer-style Management Processor; it has the Web Console functionality built-in.
