StoreOnce and Object Copy to tape - Prevent IDB purge

HPE Data Protector A.09.08
StoreOnceStore
Tape Library - HPE 1/8 G2 AUTOLDR with tapes LTO-6

We schedule client's filesystem backups to StoreOnce at night and Schedule Object Copy to tape (LTO-6) at daytime.

Because we have only 6TB on physical discs (StoreOnce), we change source object data protection to 20 days after successful copy to tape. We keep 6 month's data in tapes.

But we are facing a problem. After 20 days, the house keeping removes the sessions from StoreOnce but also purges data from IDB. If I want to restore a file from any client older than 20 days, in the Dataprotector Restore tab,  I cannot browse the client's file location, its gray/disabled. But we have the data on tape.

How can we prevent it from happening? Prevent filesystem files information purge?

Re: StoreOnce and Object Copy to tape - Prevent IDB purge

Hello @jalmeida

Thank you for using HPE StoreOnce Backup Storage Forums.

I'd like some clarification, when you mention that you are doing Object Copy to tape it sounds like you are using Catalyst stores and by only having 6TB of physical discs make me think it is a small model of StoreOnce or D2D Backup System.

In order to better understand the problem it will be helpful if you could provide the model of StoreOnce, software version and what type of stores are configured (VTL, NAS, Catalyst)?
