I have one boot disk wrong, and we have to replace it, in one hp-ux 11.11 server.
I would know if is it possible to change it hotplug or its better to stop the server.
Thanks a lot of!
Carmen.

Re: How to change one boot disk
What is wrong?
If the disk is dead but hot pluggable, consider to change it online according to
When_Good_Disks_Go_Bad_WP
http://bizsupport2.austin.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c01911837/c01911837.pdf
Hope this helps!
Regards
Torsten.

Re: How to change one boot disk
Before removing deactivate physical volume.
pvchange -a n pvname
Remove faulty disk
inserted the new one
ioscan -fnC disk
insf -C disk
vgcfgrestore -n vg00 raw-dev
pvchange -a y pvname
follow normal mirroring procedure.

Re: How to change one boot disk
ST373454LC is Seagate Cheetah 73.4 GB SCSI *Internal* Hard Drive, then isn't hot pluggable. If your box is covered by HP service I suggest you report this hardware failure.
