Re: problem in frecover

Hi Prasad,

If you /archive directory is in the root filesystem and the DL_RTX_TAP:AUG06.dmp.Z file is larger then 600MB it will fail!

Try restoring it to /var/tmp or an other filesystem with more space.

Robert-Jan

Re: problem in frecover

hi,
/archive is mounted separately, its only 43 % full.

# bdf /archive
Filesystem kbytes used avail %used Mounted on
/dev/vgrtx06/lvol3 62914560 26631656 36005432 43% /archive

Re: problem in frecover

>Here is the output of bdf command, root is not full as the error message says:

You are confused. / was full and now it isn't. It depends on the size of the file as Robert-Jan said.

>is the normal/frequent message while restoring<

This is the normal msg, while you wil try to take backup/restore.

You will get this msg because other users are alreday loggedin in the server.
