Backup Checksum Error

I have a quantum superloader 3 with an HP Ultrium LTO4 drive.  I'm using Backup Exec 2010 R3 as my backup software.  Any backup that run over 150GB is returning with checksum errors.  Backup to disk doesn't appear to have this problem.  I have been through extensive testing with Symantec and it's nothing with their software.  Does anyone have any suggestion on what I can do with my tape drive?

 

The model of the tape drive is: HP EC-L2EAA-YF

 

I am using firmware from quantum specific for this tape drive.
