Alpha Server1200

Hi, all
i`ve some problem with Alpha1200...
i just replaced mother board, `n` then this server don`t start Tru64 o/s. how i can configure the direction to boot hard disk?

Hi,

You'll have to reconfigure the various boot parameters...

The disks in your machine can be seen in the output of the command:

>>> show dev d

Assuming that the boot disk is dka0, then you'll need to set the boot device:

>>> set bootdef_dev dka0

You may also need to set the os_type and the OS flags:

>>> set os_type unix
>>> set boot_flags A

i tried this command show dev d, but nothing

and then i tried
>>> set bootdef_dev dka0

>>> boot
but server goes to the restart

i tried all disks...

Hi,

Do you know what the boot disk is ?

If not, then it could be difficult to get things going.

If you don't see anything with show dev d, try "show device"

yes, i tried show dev, `n` then i tried boot from all disks
>>boot dkb0
>>boot dkb100
>>boot dkb200
>>boot dkb300
>>boot dkb400

Hi,

Can you post exactly what happens when the server tries to boot please...

It might also be useful to see the output of "show config"
