SA1100 documentation??
Is there any decent reference available for this device that will cover several configuration scenarios? Online, book, magazine article, etc.
I introduced this into my home network and would like to use for about 4 domains as a web/email server for each domain. My ISP only grants me 1 IP address(I could get a total of 3) AND they block port 80. The IPs are dynamically assigned, but I have my router up 24/7 requesting it static.
Has anybody set up this device with a similar configuration? I would like to utilize the DNS behind the firewall to point to my internal IPs all utilizing the single external IP(or 3 IPs if necessary).

Re: SA1100 documentation??
Welcome to the club! I've got it running in what is a similar environment. However, my ISP is not, at the moment, blocking port 80. My WAN IP is dynamic and my way around the problem is to use "no-ip.com" I registered one domain and then went to "no-ip.com" and it points my domain to my currently assigned IP address. They have a client that runs locally that will update their DNS servers to your current IP. The cost is $25/yr for the 1st domain. More cost less.
Being the expert that I AM NOT, you could have multiple domains pointing to the same IP. I think that you can have the various domains hosted on the SA1100, all at the same address behind your router.
The "no-ip.com" site has a work around for blocking port 80.
My DNS pointers seem to work for getting e-mail being sent to others. However, it is not setup for things on my side of the firewall. I'm still learning. The first 2 DNS entries on the server are the same used by my router to point to my ISP's DNS. Things are working, but I don't remember if they were working before that change was made. so many things were not working due to my lack of knowledge.
I've got the SA1100 setup to send and receive mail using netscape 4.79. On the mail, the key seemed to be both send and receive servers were "mail.mydomain.com" and you have to use the password to get your mail based on the user names setup. If I'm telling you something you already know, sorry. I had to learn the hard way.
One web reference - search for - linux dns - and the hits provide lots of information. The key is working through and figuring out how and what to use.
With one minor exception, everything seems to be working fine, web, email, ftp.
Network Time protocol is NOT. It is stopped and I can't get it going. I've got a minor problem with mail relay. FTP is blocked on my router, linksys, as I don't see the need for outside access at this point.
Good Luck!!
