Nimble Storage Performance Charts

hi

any idea why nimble has different performace charts per volume? I thought nimble has the entire usable storage as one unit. why would performace per volume change ?

Tony,

You are right that the volume is sitting on all disks, but customers want to know the performance statistics on the front end of every volume, so that is the reason why we deliver that functionality One volume can be hammered very hard whilst others don't receive any IOs at all. So the IOPS and MB/sec you see are the ones from the hosts send to the volume and not backend load to our disks.
