Nimble Firmware Needed

Hello,

I purchased a nimble san second hand and it appears that the service support is out of contract. I need to locate a firmware update for the SAN. Specifically I am looking for one of these,

  • 6.1.3.300-1084694-opt

  •  6.1.2.800-1084673-opt
I know they are a bit older but I am working with what I can get my hands on unfortunately. Please let me know how i can obtain firmware files outside of support if possible.

Hello @popeyesails

Apologies, the array needs to be re-certified and purchase a support contract to get Nimble OS packages.

Re: Nimble Firmware Needed

Hi,

In addition to the previous comment, even if you manage to find older NimbleOS packages, they are tied to support entitlement and array validation.

For out of support systems, the recommended path is to re-enable support or work through HPE to get the array re-certified.

Also note that running very old firmware versions can introduce compatibility and stability risks, especially with newer hosts or networking components.

Hope this helps.
