Nimble NCM versions

Hi

Is it necessary to match the version of NCM with the version of ESXi installed on the VMware host or are they backward compatible?

eg if I have a mix of ESXi 7.x and 6.x hosts connected to the same Nimble array must I install NCM 6.7 on the 6.7 hosts, NCM 6.5 on the 6.5 hosts and NCM 7.0 on the 7 hosts? Or is NCM backward compatible so that I can install NCM 7.0 in all the hosts I have?

NCM ( Known as SCM from 7.x onwards) version 7.0.2 is compatible with ESXi 6.5/6.7 and 7.0.  However, 6.5&6.7 has a separate package than 7.0
