Planning DR Testing
We are looking into mounting our DR Nimble replication datastore and making sure servers can be brought up in case of a disaster. Does Nimble have any capabilties to do this ? I am sure there are ways but we dont want it to interfere with production.

Re: Planning DR Testing
Sure you can. High level below:
1. Go to downstream array and create instant volume clone (zero space required) from the latest snapshot on the Volume Collection.
2. Create the initiator group for DR ESX servers.
3. Modify Cloned Volume access control list by adding DR ESX servers, make sure LUNs are online.
4. Perform LUN rescan on ESX servers and mount the database, register VM to vCenter.
Using clone won't breaks any replication, which while during testing or completion, replication is still in place even reverting to normal by removed the clone... No specific resync task are required.
